A neighbor with a wrench, not a faceless contractor.
Indiana Plumbing is what happens when years of plumbing experience meets the conviction that small-town reputation is worth more than fast money.
I'm Cole Walas — owner, operator, and the guy actually doing the work.
I founded Indiana Plumbing in 2026 after years of residential and commercial plumbing experience throughout Western Pennsylvania.
I grew up in Pittsburgh and learned the trade as a kid, working alongside my dad, who is a plumber. I've been a professional plumber since 2020: one year in commercial plumbing, then residential work ever since, before setting out on my own. What I kept running into was the same thing customers complained about everywhere: the bigger operations just weren't built to give you a plumber who answered their own phone, quoted a real number, and was still around a few years later to stand behind the job.
So I moved to Indiana, PA to build exactly that — the same plumbing standards I honed in the city, none of the call-center distance.
Three principles. I don't bend on any of them.
Honest Pricing
You get a written quote before any work begins. If something unexpected comes up, I stop and talk before adding a dime. No "while I'm here" surprises, no upsells, no high-pressure tactics.
Quality That Lasts
I use materials I'd put in my own home — and I install them to current code, not the shortcut version. Every joint pressure-tested. Every fixture set solid. Every job backed by a 1-year warranty on my work.
Real Local Service
The phone rings in a real plumber's pocket. The truck shows up on time. The cleanup happens before I leave. The follow-up call comes from me, not a survey bot. This is how a small-town business is supposed to work.
The kind of plumber Indiana County deserves.
If you've ever had to call a national chain for a plumbing problem, you know the experience: a 4-hour arrival window, a dispatcher who reads from a script, a tech you've never met handing you a tablet that quotes "$2,400 for a faucet repair, but only $1,800 if you sign up for our membership today."
That's not how plumbing should work in a town this size. In Indiana, PA, your plumber should be the person who showed up at your neighbor's house last week and did right by them. They should give you a real number, in writing, before any work starts. They should stand behind the work years later because they're still in business and still in town.
That's the standard Indiana Plumbing was built to meet — and beat.
What I do best
Indiana Plumbing is a full-service residential and commercial plumbing company. The most common things customers call me for:
- Sewer line replacement — clay, cast iron, Orangeburg out; modern PVC in
- Whole-house repipes — galvanized and polybutylene replaced with PEX or copper
- Water heater replacement — tank, tankless, hybrid, often same-day
- Leak repair — pinhole, slab, frozen-pipe, joint failures
- Drain cleaning & repair — snake, jet, camera, replace
- Toilet & sink installation — single fixtures or full bath remodels
- Emergency plumbing — open 24 hours, every day
- Commercial plumbing — service contracts, backflow, grease lines
Where I work
I service the entire Indiana County, PA region — Indiana, Homer City, Blairsville, Clymer, Saltsburg, Marion Center, Cherry Tree, Shelocta, Creekside, Ernest, Armagh, Black Lick, and the IUP campus area — plus nearby Punxsutawney and the surrounding townships. If you're not sure whether your address is in my area, call me — it almost certainly is.
My promise
If I can't fix it right, I won't pretend to. If I make a mistake, I own it and make it right. If I earn your trust, I'll work hard to keep it for the next time something needs a plumber.
That's it. That's the company. Cole Walas. Indiana Plumbing. Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
